The ACCESS Academy 基金会 bridges the gap in public school funding and provides much-needed staffing that helps to improve our students’ educational outcomes. Additional staff– teachers, 专家, and educational assistants – can only be funded through the school foundation.

The 基金会 is run by parent volunteers and is an affiliate of the 亚洲博彩平台基金 (the Portland Public Schools 基金会). One-third of funds raised above $10,000 go to the PPS Equity Fund to help schools that are less able to raise funds close the achievement gap.

As you may have heard, the district has cut funding for crucial positions at our school. Our second counselor and restorative justice positions have been cut entirely. Our librarian's hours have been reduced even further to just 16 hours/week.

At this time, 基金会 funds are the only way to ensure that these positions are maintained. In order to keep our second counselor and have a full time librarian, we need to raise close to $300K this year! One third of this money goes to the general PPS Fund to help schools most in need. The other two thirds will help fund positions at our own school. 

After a very successful Trivia Night & Auction, as well as other campaigns we have run this year, we are about half way to our goal. The 基金会 will continue to work on closing the gap to our goal, so please be on the lookout for communications on how you can help.
